A women-owned sign shop on Houston's west side. We design, permit, build and install commercial signs with our own crew, under one roof.
A small shop that does the whole job
Houston Graphic Signs is owned and run by Michelle Mason, its president. The shop sits in the 77084 district off Langham Creek Drive, on the west side of Houston between the Energy Corridor and Bear Creek.
The whole job happens here. Design, engineering drawings, city permits, fabrication and installation are all in-house, so the person who quotes your sign works a few feet from the people who build it. When you call with a question, someone who has actually touched your project answers it.
We run the shop lean, with a Six Sigma approach carried over from manufacturing: standard processes, checked work, and no surprises on install day. Most of our projects are local, and for clients with locations outside Texas we can manage the work through independent sign shops we're affiliated with across North America.
How a sign gets made here
Paperwork before production
Nothing gets built until the sign is legal to hang. We handle zoning checks, engineering drawings and city filings ourselves, and we pull the permit before fabrication starts. If you're curious what that involves, our Houston sign permitting guide walks through it.
Built here, not ordered in
Letters, cabinets and graphics are fabricated on our own benches and printers: cut, welded, wired, painted and checked in the shop. Building in-house is what lets us stand behind the work, and it's why we can repair signs other shops made too.
Installed by our own crew
Installation runs off our own 40-foot boom truck with our own installers, not subcontractors. The crew that hangs your sign answers to the same shop that built it, which matters most on the jobs where the building makes things difficult.
